National Firearm Purchase Day

The United Nations has declared July 9th "Small Arms Destruction Day" and are calling on authorities all around the world to burn all confiscated and out-of-service arms, referring to the bonfires as "Flames of Peace."

Pro-rights activists are promoting July 9th as "National Firearm Purchase Day" and are urging Americans to purchase guns, ammunition, hand loading equipment, accessories and other gun related merchandise. The concept is the brainchild of our own Ernie de Bella of the Washington State chapter of FreeRepublic. It seems only fitting that in response to the United Nations' assault on our freedoms that we respond appropriately; by spending our hard-earned dollars buying the tools of liberty. If you do not yet own a particular firearm that you have been wanting to acquire, July 9th would be the day to do it. Imagine how it would stick in their collective(ist) craw if for every gun they burn, two are purchased and placed in the hands of freedom-loving Americans.

Join us in celebrating this new National Holiday and make July 9, 2001 a second Independence Day, and the first of many!
